Overview

Thattekkad requires no introduction to the birders as it is one of the most prominent birding hotpots in the world with about 350 species recorded. Our Homestay shares it's boundary with the Periyar river catchment on one side and a reserve forest on the other. It is also very close to the famous Salim Ali Bird sanctuary. This thoughtfully made comfortable accommodation is really the place for any birder to start the day. For the more adventurous ones, walks in the deep forest next to the property are available to spot the more elusive and shy birds.
